Ezy-Drive Steel-Flex impresses Kempsey Shire Council
In March this year, an Ezy-Drive Steel-Flex guidepost was installed beside the access driveway in the Kempsey Shire Depot. The installation was carried out by your representative, Tony Filmer, under the watchful eyes of several of our outdoor staff. The effort required to drive the post was considerably less than was expected given the position of the installation and the degree of compacting that this spot has had over many years.
Since it's installation, the treatment that it has received has been monitored by our Senior Works Overseer, more because of his initial scepticism of the durability of the post, than to his immediate respect for it.
He has advised that, at the time of writing, it has been impacted both from the front and the back and that the total number of impacts is well in excess of 1500. These impacts were made by council trucks and other works vehicles leaving and returning to the works depot. It has even been subjected to at least one wheel-over by the Multipack Drum roller and several by Council's laden low loader.
The Steel-Flex post is still almost vertical and, although it needs cleaning, is performing as it was when first installed.
I would like to compliment you on the Steel-Flex post and its performance. Our purchases of this product are testament to our commitment to it.
Yours Faithfully

Ezy-Drive posts perform well on the main roads of WA
The trial installation of your Poly-Flex mounting bracket, Poly-Flex tube and flexible keep left signs onto median islands at intersections have proven to be a cost effective solution. The signs installed on South Western Highway at Picton have stood the test of time with no replacements being required for a period of two years. This has resolved the problem of constant sign maintenance that was required due to regular damage to the standard signs that where installed at this site.
South West Region has also used with success the galvanised Ezy-Drive guide post as the site location marker for our Straight Line Kilometre (SLK) reference system. The ease of installation along with the durability of the posts has proven the suitability of this product.
Thank you for your assistance in the development of the above initiatives and I am hopeful that the new contractors working to maintain the road network will continue to assist to allow new innovative products to be developed into the future.
